Sorry I have been away from this website for so long, I have been busy with other things. Things of course include my LPs (both on YouTube and GameAnyone), work, my friends, and other aspects of real life. I have been on YouTube for a solid three years now. It's just a lot to reflect on, considering how my first year went to where I am now. To be a Let's Player for so long, you gotta have thick skin to handle criticism, haters, and virtually the pressure of always having to wow the audience with future projects you have in mind. Of course the larger your fanbase, the easier it becomes, knowing that no matter what project you do, someone out there remembers it as a kid, and that project becomes your hook. It can be the most obscure game out there that isn't mainstream, and still get plenty of views and attention. Do I fear running out of ideas or games? Not really, there's always some game there for me to do, even if you do decide to ignore others based on genre, game, you name it. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, I promise you all that.
As far as those projects go, Final Fantasy V Advance is still going strong. I am very adamant in finishing the game and still got a ways to go. Although I am close to the final area, it's not exactly the end. I haven't forgotten that there is a bonus dungeon that will feature very strong enemies and intricate puzzles. Of course, have I given any of you a reason to doubt me? Of course not ;). What will be next? Let's see, if I reach 7000 subscribers at that end, Mega Man Battle Network 2 will be starting. A lot of people loved the first one, despite my obvious struggles at first. But I pulled through, and hope to continue improving on what I learned from the first game in the sequel. Should be some new features, but nothing I cannot handle. Might take a break from turn based RPGs for a good while...or at least try to, as I don't wanna get burned out. Surely you would all understand, and those who don't...likely aren't LPers and would not understand how much work it can be to do all this stuff.
I'm sure a handful of people are wondering why I'm still on GameAnyone, given the controversy as to what's going on, which led to a lot of well known gamers (Skorch82, DaveTheUsher, Pitchingace88, Chileanretrogamer, etc.), to leave the site. Well the answer is simple. It was never about me getting recognition for my work, as respect is earned, not demanded...not that I'm saying that these aforementioned people demanded respect, as that's not what this is about. Why I stay on GameAnyone...is for the fans, the ones who first discovered me there, and have committed to my work ever since. If I were to leave, they'd have to deal with the fact that I'm not there, and I can't have them pay for it. Besides, where else am I gonna do Castlevania projects? Seeing as how Konami doesn't like their pet titles (Castlevania, Contra, and Metal Gear just to name a few), being done on YouTube? I mean Capcom doesn't care if their games (Mega Man, Resident Evil, etc.), are being done on YouTube, as they're too busy pissing off their fans by abandoning Mega Man just to re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re.....-re-release fighting games that's only been on sale for a few months. Isn't that what DLC is supposed to be? I wanna see Mega Man Legends 3, not Ultimate Super-Duper Mega-Giga-Terra Marvel vs Capcom 3 Turbo HD 3D 4D 36DD Remix. Anyways back to my original argument. These gamers that I mentioned DO deserve the respect and recognition for all their hard work, making GameAnyone a dynamo to be reckoned with, an alternative to the corporate gigolo that YouTube is. And I wish them the best in what they do next, as I don't see any of them going away, nor would I want to, as they are very talented.
Can't help but still feel chills seeing the current date of this blog posting. 9/11, everybody remembers it...except for Peter Griffin who didn't know what 9/11 was until 2004. I remember where I was during that day, I was in Grade 10, in Room 3 for English class. The walls were pink (very masculine, I know). And we left school early as classes were dismissed, given the news of the tragedy. Granted we were in Canada, it was an event that affected us all, for some it still does. I hope everyone can put aside the racism, the hate, the conspiracy theories, and the vitriol against those in power who claim this was orchestrated to turn us into a police state, and focus on those they care about, focus on being stronger, and focus on never cowering to fear. This one attack will never break us, and we will be steadfast in continuing to fight for all freedoms in the world, freedoms that never wish harm on others and their liberties.
So anyways, that's enough out of me. I can't wait until the 19th of September, for it will be my 25th birthday. What am I gonna do for it? Likely hang out with friends and family, get some good grub, and take it easy. An entire quarter century of my existence, here's to another 25 years.
